Glan-Y-Gors Round 5, June 2008
Qualifying > I went off the grid in last place so that I could get as much space as possible to set a fast time, and after 3 laps went for it and set a blistering 43.61, after that I had some more laps to scrub in the tyres completely then came in as no one posted a faster lap.
Heat 1 > I started on pole for this heat and had a great start, and left the pack to finish 8.12 seconds ahead of second place (George Hember, no.19). My fastest lap was a 43.81.
Heat 2 > I started on pole for this next heat. I got another good start and broke away to finish 6.79 seconds ahead, and my fastest lap was a 43.79.
Final > After a poor start, George Hember (no.19) got ahead of me, and I stayed behind him for a few laps before deciding to make a move. I passed him and then started to make a gap, which extended up to 7.70 seconds by the end of the race. My fastest lap was a 43.52, the fastest I've ever been around GYG!!
