Glan-Y-Gors Round 7, August 2006
In this race meeting I had two novices to race against, and I didn't know at the start of the meeting whether I would beat them or not. But I got the novice trophy in the end.
Heat 1 > I started 9th in this heat. I stayed in 9th place for 5 laps until no.44 fell back and I got past him. For the next three laps I stayed in 8th place but on the last lap I made a move on 7th to put me ahead for the flag.
Heat 2 > In this heat I started 8th. My start was ok and at the end of the first lap I was 6th.I stopped in this spot for a lap until I overtook no.46 to move me into 5th. I stayed here for the rest of the race but there was a lot of action going on behind me with the places changing regularly.
Heat 3 > This time I started 9th again. After the first lap I had got to 7th which is where I finished. It was a pretty boring heat because I didn't gain any places after lap 1 and I didn't lose any.
Final > In the final, I started 6th, which is where I stayed for a while, until I started battling with no.44 for the rest of the final. One lap I was ahead, the next 44 was, then half way through the lap I would get ahead again then 44 would get back ahead. It was a great race, and during the last three laps I lined up No.44 and charged for the flag and the last novice trophy that I could get.
