Glan-Y-Gors Round 3, April 2006

Saturday was fun, bending a stub axle!! We made a lot of progress with chassis setup and were quicker than about 3 people of 14!

Heat 1 >  Out of all the carnage at the Carousel corner, I managed to finish 3rd in my first ever heat!! Also my dad noted that I was pulling away from 4th, who had been racing properly for about 2 years before I had even started!!

Heat 2 >  There were a few spin-offs at the start but I managed to finish 6th with one other novice (94) on my tail. After a knock at the first corner two people had dropped back to near last which helped me gain a few places.

Heat 3 > The third heat was not my best because I finished 7th because I made a mistake at the start dropping me back a bit, but I worked my way past the two people in front of me to get back up to 7th place.

Final > I started 6th and I got through to 5th for a while until getting a slow puncture in my front left tyre on about lap 8! And also since GYG is a clockwise circuit it was a double whammy and I lost out on the novice trophy when the other novice (94) just got past me on the last lap!!
